Harbor Freight keeps changing their page links so, the following links power not work. You'll right have to hunting their site. I'll try to keep heavenward with them but, there are other things to do.
Warning: About 10 years ago, I purchased Seaport Freight's, 1500 Watt, Newmarket Electric high temperature gun (Item #69343). It saw easy usage over the years. Today, I was heat coloring copper, on the 950° setting and it caught connected fire.Flames were shooting KO'd of the nozzle and smoke billowed from the air ingestion vents. I unplugged information technology and dumped it into my quench bowl. Fortunately, this every last occurred while I had my ventilation connected high and I was at my soldering station – with it's solid board and, course, that convenient snuff out bowl. As a replacement, I purchased a Dewalt estrus gunman. It has an overload protection switch, that keeps things like electrical fires, from occurring! I also trust this brand and undergo rather a few of their tools.

Angle Finder
Angle Finders are useful for draft angles and square edges.
Anvils
They take two dissimilar weight anvils: 55 lbs (Shown along the left,Item #69161) and 15 lbsDetail #69425. I have the 15 pound anvil – I could lift it! A note on these anvils – I've had mine for 15 years but, they are cast iron, non steel. So, they mar very much easier. Besides, I had to refinish mine ahead using. You desire a precise shiny airfoil so that the metal you are hammering doesn't perk up any marks from the anvil.
Apron, Welding
This Apron is useful when welding and soldering. Protects your apparel and areas tail the apron from surprise attacks by hot metal or sparks.
4″ Scratch Awl
The Scriber Useful as a tinny scribe (to scrape patterns/lines/etc. Bum also live used as a burnisher and to pass wate dents for drill placement (so the drill bit stays in place and doesn't skip crossways the metal). Buttocks also be misused for tube riveting – although, I'd cut back it down a bit!
Bench Grinder
A Bench Grinder is very effectual in the studio apartment. I enjoyment mine to shape tools – especially chasing and repousse tools. The stone wheels are very abrasive and wish remove metal rapidly. Tie back long hair, no tall, sandy sleeves, nary dangly anything!
Work bench Grinder/Buffer
An inexpensive Workbench Mill/Buffer.This combines the Bench Grinder above with a buffing wipe up for polishing.. The only trouble is that you sole have one grit for the stone. I suppose you could check out getting another one with Atomic number 72. The one that comes with it is 36 moxie.
Bins and Storage
Lashing of Bin and Storageideas. Let's discove, what to do with these? Hmmm….
"C" Clamps
These 2″ Industrial "C" clamps are super recyclable (as are bigger sizes). I use these for clamping tools to my desk alike: my bench pin, shears, vise, etc. The "C" clinch allows your tools to be man-portable then, that you don't have to always suffer them bolted in one place. Handy when you are entertaining guests in the studio and you put on't want soul chopping off a finger.
Center Perforate
This spring loadedCenter Plug is good for devising divots for drilling. You stern too use it as a scribe. Nail sets also function (fine tipped ones).
Whole number Calipers
Whole number Calipers are A Essential HAVE TOOL! I apply them for everything: measuring metal/wire thickness, designing, layout, Harlan Fisk Ston measurement, checking drill bit sizes, measuring tubing. I would not be as happy a jeweler without this joyride, and I tight this (obviously). This is a must have! You don't have to get a HF calliper but get some type of Calipers, in superior general. Digital is easiest.
Digital Scale
Another usable tool, theDigital Shell comes in handy for weighing your materials (to supporte you price them), for readying scrap, for any diet that forces you to weigh your food! P.S. (Diets don't work! Stop drinking soda. 25 grams of sugar is the recommended daily intake.)
Disk Cutter
This9 Piece Bif and Pass Set (Disk Cutter) is useful for cutting discs (sometimes). Round out shanks of punches can likewise be used to create tubing (see Art Jewelry Magazine tie-in nether Doming tools (above),wrapping wire and sheet too. Not the best set just, if your budget is very tiny, this will do at $30 America.
Doming Stuff and Punch Set
You need this 25 Piece Doming Block and Punch Set. Great for making domes, riveting, texturing metal, repousse, shaping. The shanks are as wel useful for making tubing with a upset block and for making circles from telegram or sheet – see this video on tube making from Art Jewelry Cartridge holder.
Drill
I use my Drillto gyrate mandrels when fashioning jump rings. As wel useful for refinishing large metal tools like anvils, blocks, etc. Many attachments available. I hold mine in a large vice so that I can use both custody when making jump rings.
Ear Protection
Ear Protection – Industrial Ear Muffs, Item #61372. Protect your hearing – specially when forging or victimization intemperate, loud machinery.
Face Shield
Adjustable Face Shield, Item#46526 – Tire out when working chemically i.e.: making fix, etching, etc. Also useful when operating machinery. Protects your eyes and your beautiful face.
Files
You ask totally types of files: Matted, Half-Fill out, Round, Trilateral, etc. – Great for, well, filing!
You also need gnomish files. This12 Piece PrecisionNeedle FileSet is fine for getting into pocket-sized spaces.Micro files (even little) are also available but, not at HF.
Flex Shaft
Flexible Shaft Molar (Flex Shaft) – Reusable for all types of jewellery work: drilling, sanding, burnishing, Oliver Stone scope, buffing, coating, patterns, etc. A requirement tool for the jeweler. The foot pedal sucks but, you can upgrade it – even function one from a sewing machine! The foot pedal point included is a tatty, plastic pedal with little shade. Saying that, I still wont a few of these foot pedals for my not often used deform shaft Stations of the Cross – like jump ring cutting or for my buffing machine.
Hex Keys
Positional notation Keys – I use these more than I ever persuasion I would. I have several tools that align with hex keys and I'm always losing them. Having them in a coif like this, hopefully, keeps them all at once. Only time will tell!
Hood, Rough
Abrasive Blasting Hood – Detail#62378 Well, this is plausibly overkill only, I place it along this varlet because: 1) I longed-for to see if you were allay awake and 2) I cerebration you'd look pretty queer in this getup!
Hook and Pick
Hook and Pick Set. Useful for wax carving, dentition cleanup (kidding – get into't do that to your dentition!), applying small bits of glue, digging at stuff.
Razor Knives
56 Set up Preciseness Knife Set – Who doesn't need 56 varied "Exacto" character knives? Also, some of the tools make great scribes for scratching your patterns into metal. So crafty…
Mask, Face
Mask, Face – You involve to wear one of these when sanding, filing, buffing, etc. Steal good masks to protect your (still) best lungs. The ventilator helps to incised down on steamy glasses. I like 3M's world-class though. You can get10 (3M stigma) for $17.48 US at Amazon.
Matted, Anti-Fatigue
Anti-Fa Foam Flatness -Item#94635 I wealthy person these in my soldering domain and in my forging region. Saves on leg and foot fatigue. Use wherever you endure very much. Happy feet are useful feet!
Plumb Bob – Absorbing Puppet
Plumb Bob – great puppet for creating tube rivets. John also be used Eastern Samoa a form to make faceted stone settings with.
Safety Eyeglasses – UV
Ultraviolet illumination Safety Glasses – Great to wear while soldering – particularly if you are using an O2/Gas admixture. Also available in crystal clear.
Safe Goggles
Safety Goggles,Item#94357– Imperative!Wear when sanding, filing, operating equipment, soldering, etching, forging, etc. Get into them!
Shear
Shear, Throatless – Great for cutting large metal mainsheet. I buy 2'x3′ sheets of copper from my neighborhood, metal junk yard and this is great for sharp the sheet into manageable sizes. Also, great for cutting smaller pieces too. Embarrassing to reach precision cuts as there are no guides. This is the only fleece that I used (until this year) to injured my metal (too handheld shears). If you've got the cash, check over buying a precision bench fleece. See my page: Q&A Tools for information on: What typewrite of bench shear should I purpose to cut sheet metal?I discuss very much of different options for cutting sheet.
Stamps – Letter and Number
Letter of the alphabet/Number Stamping Set –useful for decorative embellishments along aluminiferous. Can also be used with metal clays and polymer clays.
Stick out
Stand – I purchased this for the rolling mill at Chimera's jewelry studio. It worked great with the unimportant economy mill. IT is very permanent. I haven't tested information technology with a Durston mill yet. Compare the price with the Durston stand: HF – $29.99 US, Durston – $335.00 US. Hmmm…. Great for the bench bomber and other massive tools. There's too a 29″H corresponding version (the uncomparable shown is 32″H). See my Q&A Page on Pronounceable Mills.
Tool Storage
Tool Storage – Well, to store tools and materials in!
Transfer Punch
Channelize Clout Set– Shanks can be used to form tubing, besides as mandrels for jump rings, to arrive at divots for oil production, etc. See Art Jewelry Magazine's picture on creating tubing with a swage closure.
Tumbler, Rotary
Tumbler pigeon, Rotary – This is the one that I personal. I like the dual barrels because I send away store two types of media in each barrel: unsullied shot and ceramic cooked. I use a wide-ranging funnel shape to pour the mass medium into (after use), let it dry and pour back into the drum and cover until needed again.
Roller, Vibrating
Tumbler, Moving – used for coating metal. Used with (unblemished) steel changeable, this will put away a glow on your work. The vibratory tumbler is supposedly more efficient than the rolling type of tumbler. I don't have this so, arse't verbalise too much about it. People kinda liked IT in the reviews. It got 3 stars.
Tweezers, Crabby-lock Tweezers
Pair of pincers Set – This is also a useful set. If you are same me, you'll go through them rapidly. They get bad funky when used for soldering.
Utility Knife
Utility Knife – 'cause ya ne'er know when you'll call for one!
Vise
Vise– Useful for material possession a drill while making jump-start rings. Too, great forfold-forming, forging, filing and some other techniques. I think it's nice to have two dissimilar sizes: A big girl vise for holding the exercise and big jobs and a bit boy one for your screen background and everyday stuff. I have the 3″ and the 5″.
Workbench
60″, 4 Drawer, HardwoodWorkbench – I purchased this for Chimera's Jewelry Studio and was very happy with information technology – still am. Information technology's sturdy and large and I loved the drawers and footstool/shelf. Information technology was pretty easy to put jointly besides! I didn't use the pegs and the vise then I drenched in the top of the Bench with a piece of an extra elongate while of 1″ pine (covering the whole top and screwing information technology on to the bench). I did that because of those holes for the peggy things. It besides made the benchtop longer and wider. Another choice would be to beat in dowels, of the appropriate size, with a bantam wood glue operating theater glue in the pegs themselves and then cut them off.
Well, I think I'm done here. There are more tools available for use but, either they weren't on the website or I just couldn't detect them. There are small, smooth faced pair of pliers available (not of a dandy quality though), small hammers that could Be of some utilize but, I'm tired of their website and this page for now. Thanks for visiting and I hope this helps.
